The short version
- Your files never leave your device. Every tool runs inside your browser. Files, file names and file sizes are never sent to us or to anyone else.
- No cookies, analytics, ads or trackers. That is why there is no cookie banner.
- No account. We never ask for your name, email address or password.
Files you process
When you add a file to a tool, your browser reads it and processes it on your device, using code the site has downloaded to your browser. The file is not uploaded, so we cannot see it, keep it or share it.
We do not store your files in your browser’s storage either. When you close or reload the page, the files are gone from the page. The results you download are saved wherever your browser saves downloads, and only you control them.
What the site downloads to your device
To work, the site downloads its pages and its processing engines (for example the PDF, image, text recognition and office document engines) from our own domain. Larger engines are only downloaded when you use a tool that needs them, or when you ask for them.
Your browser keeps these in its cache so tools load faster and keep working offline. This cache holds only the site’s own code and pages, never your files. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
What is stored in your browser
The site stores a few small settings in your browser’s storage: whether you dismissed the “install this app” prompt, and for the “Saved you time?” note, whether you closed it during this visit, when you last went on to leave a tip (so it stays away for 180 days) and whether you ticked “Don’t ask again” on the notice before a tip page. These are flags and dates only, never anything about your files, and they never leave your device. The site sets no cookies.
Tips (Ko-fi and Saweria)
The site is free. If you choose to leave a tip, the Support buttons link to Ko-fi or Saweria, which open in a new tab after a short notice. They are separate services with their own privacy policies (Ko-fi, Saweria), and like any website they may use cookies and see your IP address. The link sends them no information about you or your files, not even which page you came from, and we never see your payment details. The site loads nothing from them until you press Continue.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. As with any website, when your browser requests a page or an engine, Cloudflare receives the technical information needed to deliver it and protect the site from abuse, such as your IP address, browser type, the address requested and the time. These requests never contain your files.
Cloudflare processes this information under its own privacy policy. We do not use it to identify you, build a profile of you, or show you ads.
Emails you send us
If you write to support@akudanpdf.com, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to answer you, and we keep it only as long as we need to help you.
Children
The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices and rights
Because the tools do not collect personal information, there is usually nothing about you for us to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and want that conversation deleted, ask at support@akudanpdf.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
