How do I turn a PDF into one long image?
Drop the PDF into the box above, choose JPG or PNG and click “Create long image”. Each page is drawn, then all of them are stacked from top to bottom into one tall picture. Download it, and you are ready to post or send it. Your original PDF is not changed.
Unlike PDF to JPG, which hands you a separate image for every page, this tool joins them into a single picture. That makes it the better choice when your goal is to share, and the other one the better choice when you need pages one by one.
Tip: Keep it to about ten pages or fewer for chats. A very tall image is slow to load and some apps refuse it.
When is one long image better than a PDF?
A PDF is the right format for printing and filing. For quick sharing, a picture often wins.
- Menus, price lists and schedules. Customers open an image straight in the chat, with no PDF viewer.
- Receipts and transfer proofs. Put a multi-page receipt into one picture that is simple to forward.
- Notes and summaries. Share class notes or a revision sheet in a group chat as one scrollable picture.
- Social posts. Post a long infographic or a short document as an image where PDFs are not accepted.
- Previews. Show the whole document at a glance to a client before sending the file.
If someone needs to select text or fill in a form, send the PDF. An image is flat, so the words in it cannot be copied.
JPG or PNG, and how do I keep the size down?
Choosing the format is the biggest decision you make.
- JPG compresses well. It is the best choice for pages with photos, and it keeps the file small enough for most chats.
- PNG keeps edges perfectly crisp. It suits text-only pages, charts and logos, though the file is larger.
A tall image can get big quickly, so there are a few habits that help: convert only the pages you need, choose JPG when in doubt, and if the picture is still too heavy, run the PDF through Compress first. For documents with lots of pages, make two or three images instead of one giant one.
Is it safe to convert a PDF to an image online?
Yes. You open the tool online, but the work happens on your own phone or computer. The browser draws the pages, stacks them into one picture and gives you the file, and at no point is the document sent to a server. That matters for invoices, IDs and anything with personal details.
You can check it yourself by watching your browser’s network tab during conversion: no file data leaves your device. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and after the first use the tool works offline too.
